SEBASTIAN BACH To Release Two Studio Albums In 2005

January 10, 2005

Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach has posted the following message on his web site:

"I am the lead vocalist for the upcoming 'FRAMESHIFT 2' CD, entitled 'An Absence of Empathy'. FRAMESHIFT is the brainchild of virtuoso musician Henning Pauly and we are coming up with some incredible stuff!!

"The way this all happened is due to my friendship with James LaBrie of DREAM THEATER. I have known James for 15-16 years and have immense respect for him as a vocalist. James was the vocalist on the first FRAMESHIFT CD, entitled 'Unweaving the Rainbow'. Henning Pauly creates the music for FRAMESHIFT and has different vocalists on each record. When looking for a vocalist for the second CD, Henning contacted James and asked him who he thought would be a good choice for this material, which involves the different sides of personality in each of us, very 'Jekyll & Hyde', both lyrically and musically. James said to Henning 'If you had your choice of any vocalist in the world to be on this CD who would it be?' Henning's reply was, 'Sebastian Bach.' James e-mailed me an MP3 of one of the songs called 'Blade', which kicked my ass into the next room!

"This is my first foray into progressive rock — but believe me when I say there is some seriously HEAVY material on this CD as well as some beautiful ballads that have my voice soaring like never before. I am also proud to say that my voice seems to be expanding in range, with me hitting notes in 'In An Empty Room' that I don't think I have never hit before except for maybe at the end of 'Quicksand Jesus'. I am so proud of this song and cannot wait for you all to hear it! Henning is also helping me create detailed harmonies with my voice involving complicated layers that I have never attempted to pull off in the past.

"On Henning's web site he keeps a detailed studio log which you can check out when I am too tired to update this site. But what is really cool, is that we are posting a daily video update of the FRAMESHIFT 2 vocal sessions! Check back right here every day this week for video clips featuring sound clips of the songs!

"Also, and I definitely need to clarify this: In no way does this affect the progress of the new SEBASTIAN BACH solo CD. We are tentatively set to enter the studio in March with [producer] Zeuss to record! The FRAMESHIFT 2 vocal sessions are tentatively set to end on Jan. 16 and then it is full-on focus on the second SEBASTIAN BACH solo CD.

"Not only does the FRAMESHIFT 2 project give me a chance to expand my horizons musically, and give all of you all two CDs this year instead of one, it also gives me a chance to get my studio chops back in shape for the upcoming solo CD!

"We have some killer tunes set to record and new concert dates 99 percent confirmed, so it will be a very busy year for the BACH band!"
